We would really like you to come and stay with us in our house but if you want some more comfort there are some other options…

In the house

We have 3 double sofa beds in the house plus a spare double mattress and inflatable mattresses, there is plenty of bedding/towels and mosquito nets if you want one. The house is all open plan/communal, but in 2017 there will be a new double room under the terrace which will be private with an en-suite bathroom.

There is a bakery and restaurant in Vrisnik and a local shop in the next village Svirće, half a kilometer away. The sea is around 3km which you can reach on foot through olive groves or on the road by hiring a bike/moped/car. Th ere is a bus which stops at Svirće if you can get your head round the timetable.

If you are staying with us please let us know.

There are 3 campsites in Jelsa and it costs about 10 Euros per night for 2 people in a tent. This can be a nice way to stay as you are right by the sea but please note they can be busy in the high season when Open House is on.

There’s no need to book but if you want to take a look here are the links;

If you like getting naked there’s also a great nudist camp;

In private accommodation in Jelsa

This is usually a room with en-suite bathroom and you may have access to a shared kitchen. Prices are usually about 30 Euros per room per night in the high season. You will be near the sea and normal facilities but about 3km away from the house, although there is also one option in Vrisnik that we haven’t tried ourselves.

We can help you book a room in advance or you can take a chance and find something when you arrive. You might be able to bargain for a better price this way.

In private accommodation in Vrboska

Prices are similar to Jelsa but Vrboska is quieter with less tourists. It’s about the same distance to the house and you can also walk to Jelsa (about 2km) along the sea or take a bus.

There are several hotels on the island. The nearest to us are Hotel Hvar in Jelsa and Senses Hotel in Vrboska which has just been renovated – the pool is really nice.

Staying in Stari Grad/Hvar Town

These towns are both lovely but a long way from the house so we don’t suggest you stay there.
